To get right into brass tacks I am referring to family systems, a patriarch as a head and his fledglings. Feathered and weathered broken down by the surroundings. Kite birds flaunting their homes using our plastics for social dominance.

Separating from my family system in vivo has been extremely painful. Survivors of genocide; for some generations birthing children for who knows why but love.

Self absorbed or self effacing, I know not who these words may reach. My flesh and bone in San Francisco emptied out my pockets to the homeless, my work can speak for itself. Am I to assume that others do not see me?

If I feed several people, maybe even dozens, regularly on a schedule, does it end the bombings in Gaza and Artsakh? No.

If I am gender in public, does it serve to end hunger? No.

It is easy for people to take a stand when you are being bombed, but what of the survivors, what of their children?
